Jean
Marie Bowcott has travelled to and lived in many
countries such as Italy, Greece, France, England, Ireland, China, Thailand,
Egypt and Cypress.
These opportunities opened the door to new works
strongly influenced by history and world culture, resulting in the
creation of many collections of jewellery, sculpture and textiles for
Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum and the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Montreal.
Jean Marie Bowcott lived in Saudi Arabia for four and
a half years. During that time she illustrated the definitive book The
Art of Bedouin Jewellery by
author Helen Colyer Ross. The book was presented to USA government officials
at a reception in Washington DC by the Saudi Arabian Royal family.
